Lambeth Autism Group (LAG) is the local
branch of the National Autistic Society. LAG are a small group of parents and carers with children and adults with autistm, they offer and provide a wide range of support, information and
raise awareness of autism on a local and national level.
Social support includes a monthly
parents/carers coffee morning, a weekly autistic adult social club for 18+ , a successful monthly book group at Clapham Library, Girls Art Club 8 - 13 and autism-friendly summer
LAG provide up to date and useful
information and resources that they send out regularly via email and also a comprehensive information pack – “Did You Know?” that is helpful to parents and carers in Lambeth Area.
LAG works closely in partnership with
professionals and liaises with health, education and social care professionals.
LAG have a strong representative voice
and raise awareness of autism locally, they press policy and decision makers for change and participate in local and national campaigning.
All Lambeth Autism Group are dedicated
and spend as much time in making sure that they bridge the gap in meeting the needs of their local community and also keeping their local councillors and MP's informed of any up to date news sent by
the National Autistic Society.
